Accomplishments as a School Counselor

• Established a well articulated classroom guidance program 

• Established a Counseling Advisory Committee (parents, teachers, students, administrator) 

• Established a reputation as a resource for the community, evidenced by numerous requests for counseling services from parents and teachers.

• Presented workshops for counseling colleagues 

• Presented parent workshops on many subjects (Transition, Parent Effectiveness Training, Communication, Parental Support of Homework, etc.) 

• Wrote a monthly "Counselor's Corner" for the PTA Newsletter

• Established an active Peer Counseling Program for Fifth Graders 

• Served as faculty sponsor to the Elementary School Student Council

• Established additional relationships with students by serving as the piano accompanist for the Fourth and Fifth grade choirs and playing piano for other school functions
