Types
of consultations:
Curriculum Auditor: I visit schools and examine various areas of
their curriculum (e.g., fine arts, technology integration, science, etc.) and
leave a report outlining the strengths & weaknesses of the program, with
specific recommendations for change. I was trained by the Phi Delta
Kappa Curriculum
Audit Center and have 15 years experience in curriculum
audits.
Organizational Development Workshops: Schools generally have
much academic and pedagogical expertise already on campus, but often lack
specific systems for consensus
building, effective meetings, internal communication, school climate
enhancement, and decision making.
Preparation for Accreditation: Smaller schools without
curriculum specialists on the staff, and with already overworked
administrators, often need short term help in developing Mission Statements,
Belief Statements, Curriculum Maps, Curriculum Guides, and organizing and
presenting their written curriculum.
Short Term Help with Curriculum Issues, such as
|
• curriculum
mapping
• faculty workshops
• documenting curriculum in
user-friendly formats
|
• making major
changes in scheduling
• developing a technology plan for
integration
• assessment and rubrics
